Four-year-old Bull Mastiff Bayleigh is referred to Noel because of a suspicious and painful lump near her ankle which is preventing her from walking without limping
Treatment
Worst fears are realised when a full body CT scan confirms that the lump is bone cancer. Noel is able to offer an alternative solution to amputation in the form of removing the tumour and saving the leg with an endoprosthesis, an implant of his own invention, so that Bayleigh can be given the best quality of life possible.
