Betsy, Beau & Rosie

This week on The Supervet Carol brings in her five-year-old tortoiseshell cat Betsy who has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on her back leg. Betsy has become Carol’s constant companion - her ‘world’ since she lost her husband to Alzheimer’s last year. Noel plans to save Betsy’s leg by cutting out the tumour and replacing her knee with a unique bionic implant.

Toni and Leanne bring their Tibetan Terrier Beau to see Noel about her hip dysplasia after noticing a deterioration in her walking. The couple got Beau after Leanne suffered a miscarriage, so she has become a vital and much-loved part of the family. Her surgery is far from straightforward, and Noel is forced to improvise during the operation to fit her new hip implant in place.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rosie is admitted as an emergency after her back legs suddenly collapse in the park. Rosie is a former street dog that animal lover Elaine and her family took in after finding her as a terrified stray.
