Milo, Bramble & Digby

Families travel from far and wide to seek Noel’s expertise, and Milo is no exception. This Marbella-based seven-month-old expat French bulldog has flown in by private jet from Spain with his family after surgery to fix his broken elbow – an injury endemic in this breed and caused by an accident at home – proved unsuccessful. The family are pinning their hopes on a custom fusion plate system to get Milo out of pain.

Eleven-year-old rescue, Brindle Boxer Bramble, is inseparable from her mum, Paula. They’ve been referred to Noel by their local vet after becoming lame and who could only offer euthanasia or limb amputation as options. There is a mystery mass eating away at the bone around poor Bramble’s knee which could either be cancer or an aggressive synovial inflammation. Paula opts for an innovative total knee replacement, but Noel is then presented with a massive dilemma when Bramble breaks her femur during recovery.

Cool cat Digby has severe and very painful hip dysplasia and Maine Coon-mad Noel is more than happy to help the ten-month-old when he comes to the practice with ex-Fitzpatricks nurse Indi. Complex treatment will include two total hip replacements for Digby.
