Monty, Odin & Maya

Adorable toy poodle Monty is the centre of Dave and Di’s world. The two-year-old was already showing huge promise in agility when during a walk in the park a larger dog jumped on top of him, damaging his hip joint. Monty is so small, very few surgeons are able to perform a complex total hip replacement on this a miniature scale and the family are hoping Noel can help.

Two-year-old, 75kg Caucasian Shepherd Dog Odin, has wobblers syndrome – a condition where malformed vertebrae in his neck are squishing on his spinal cord, causing pain and impairing the nerve signals to his back legs so that he is having progressive trouble walking.

Beautiful Malamute/Husky Cross rescue Maya was hit by a train when she was three years old, suffering huge trauma and losing one of her front feet. Her dad, Tom, was devastated, but thankfully Maya made it through. Now, four years on, she is suffering with osteoarthritis in both hip joints due to dysplasia, and finds walking on three legs increasingly difficult. Noel works with his colleague Alan, who is a prosthetist to try and create a unique stump socket prosthetic foot for Maya based on a CT scan of her leg, to try get her back on four feet again.
