Mikka
This week Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and his team fight to save the leg of a much loved Golden Retriever Mikka. Julie and her daughter Lauren were devastated when they found out Mikka had a tumour growing in her left leg. They turn to Noel in the hope he can offer an alternative to amputation.
Lola
Lola, a French bulldog with twisted elbows is brought in by James and Chantell. Lola’s legs are so badly deformed that she needs a doggy wheelchair especially designed for her. Her condition is one of the worst Noel has ever seen and with muscles and nerves wrapped around the bone causing further problems, he faces difficult challenges in surgery.
Dali
Noel opened his Oncology & Soft Tissue Hospital in Guildford last year offering a range of treatments for pets with oncologic and soft tissue problems – from skin grafts to tumour removal. Tracey and Phill bring in their Spaniel cross, Dali, to see specialist Professor Nick Bacon, after he developed a large growth inside his jaw causing the muscle to waste away. Removing the tumour involves highly invasive surgery and cutting away part of Dali’s jaw and Tracey and Phill face an anxious wait for news.
