Summary
The Supervet returns to Channel 4 for the eight series following Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and his team at Fitzpatrick Referrals
Shiraz
Black Labrador Shiraz is rushed to Fitzpatrick Referrals after being hit by a car. Her leg is so badly damaged, owner Alistair is worried she may lose the leg. As Professor Noel Fitzpatrick fights to save her limb, he is not only dealing with the break but also the serious threat of infection which could limit Shiraz’s hopes of recovery.
Rosie
Jackie brings in Rosie, her beloved Cocker Spaniel who has been limping on her left leg. Normally a sweet dog, she growls in pain when her back hips are touched. Scans reveal a bulging disc in her spine as well as nerve damage. In theatre Noel faces a tricky situation when the screws don’t fit, forcing him to improvise in order for the surgery to be a success.
Elmer
Wrinkled faced Basset Hound Elmer is the much loved and pampered dog of Jacqui. Elmer’s legs bend out and he struggles to walk normally.
